Social Security Minister Update

The Social Security Minister has updated the advise in their booklet in respect of minimum wage and the sums payable to employees on student placements linked to their studies as the extract below explains:

Trainee minimum wage rate – student work experience employment
Annex 2 of this guidance note sets out the criteria that must be followed for a student in higher level education, who undertakes a period of work experience which is directly or substantially
related to their studies, to be paid the trainee minimum wage rate.
