Dates for submitting most common claims to Tribunal

Below are the key time limits for submitting common types of claims to the Employment and Discrimination Tribunal.
It’s important that claims are lodged within the deadlines shown; the Tribunal is likely to refuse claims submitted late.

| Pregnancy & Breastfeeding | 7 weeks & 6 days from relevant date |
| Pay breaches for ante-natal, breastfeeding etc | 28 days following the usual pay day |
| Minimum Wage breaches | Seek advice as soon as the breach is known |
| Payslips | 7 weeks & 6 days from last date of employment if leaving |
| Parental Rights | 7 weeks & 6 days from relevant date |
| Reservists returning to work | 7 weeks & 6 days from relevant date |
| Redundancy Protected Award | 7 weeks & 6 days from relevant date |
| Redundancy Paid Time off to seek new employment/training | 7 weeks & 6 days from the date the time off should have been permitted |
| Redundancy Detriment to Employee Representative including paid time to represent | 7 weeks & 6 days immediately following the act of detriment |
| Failure to provide written reason for termination | 7 weeks & 6 days from last date of employment if leaving |
| Unfair/Constructive Dismissal | 7 weeks & 6 days from last date of employment |
| Right of Representation in the disciplinary and grievance process | 7 weeks & 6 days immediately following the threat |
| Discrimination | 7 weeks & 6 days from last date of act of discrimination |
