Guarantee payments

In the UK it is a statutory payment made to workers who are not provided with work throughout a day during which they would normally be required to work under their contracts of employment. Jersey Law makes no provision for such payments, although individual contracts of employment may make some such provisions.

In Jersey, the amount of such payment, if any, will depend upon the contract of employment that exists between employer and employee. If included in a contract it should normally be reviewed on a regular basis, in line with pay reviews.
