Minimum Wage 2010

The Social Security Minister has recommended and the States has accepted that the minimum wage rate of £6.08, which was implemented on 1 April 2009, be increased to £6.20 with effect from 1 April 2010.

The increase amounts to 2.0%

The following new rates to apply from 1st April 2010. Rates effective for the previous three years are shown in brackets:

Minimum Wage £6.20 (£6.08) (£5.80) (£5.40)

Trainee Rate £4.65 (£4.56) (£4.35) (£4.05)

Accommodation offset £67.85 (£66.52) (£63.47) (£59.10)

Accommodation and food offset £90.46 (£88.69) (£84.63) (£78.80)
