Minimum Wage 2011
The Social Security Minister has recommended and the States has accepted that the minimum wage rate of £6.20, which was implemented on 1 April 2010, be increased to £6.32 with effect from 1 April 2011.
The increase amounts to 2.0%
The following new rates to apply from 1st April 2011. Rates effective for the previous years are shown in brackets:

Trainee Rate £4.74 (£4.65) (£4.56) (£4.35) (£4.05)
Accommodation offset £69.21 (£67.85) (£66.52) (£63.47) (£59.10)
Accommodation and food offset £92.27 (£90.46) (£88.69) (£84.63) (£78.80)
With effect from 1st April 2011 tips or gratuities, however these are paid to the employee, will not count towards the payment of the minimum wage.
